The Hundred Day Hustle with Kelsey Sews!

New notebooks mean I am SERIOUS about getting it together! BTW This notebook is great; 1/3 ruled, 1/3 gridded, 1/3 blank, 100% AWESOME!
Wow! September 22, one hundred days until the end of the year! Kelsey from Kelsey Sews is heading up the 100 Day Hustle to encourage us to hustle through our to-do lists and start 2013 with a blank slate. Looking over my goals that I posted at the beginning of this year, I cannot believe how out of control my to-do lists have become! Luckily, I have been a little more productive at sewing than I have been at blogging, but there is still a LOT of work to do. My list (including the "not counting on it " list) comes out to a project a week, which doesn't sound too overwhelming.

My To-Do List (in order of priority)
  1. Christmas Stockings x3 (Joy, Cherry Christmas & Winterkist)
  2. Quilt Baby Quilt (Children at Play) for Husband's Co-worker
  3. Start & Finish Baby Quilt (Wee Folks) for Friend
  4. "Two Left Feet" Quilt (Echo) for Brother  *Need help, see below!
  5.  Polaroid Quilt for Other Brother (Random, this will involve Llamas)
  6. Quilt for Sister (No clue)
  7. Love Letters Quilt (Etchings)

 TWO LEFT FEET QUILT DECISIONS!

This is the quilt. I can't decide what background fabric to use! I originally bought the black, but I am leaning towards flax now...what would you choose?

Would be Nice, but Not Counting on It!
• Christmas Table Runner • Quilt Patchwork Prism • Quilt Xs and Os • Quilt Sew.Happy.Quilt • Finish Super Mario Quilt Top • Finish Medallion Quilt Top

Kelsey SewsHead on over to Kelsey Sews, link up your goals for the last 100 days of 2012, then get to work! The linky party will be open from September 22nd to September 25th!

I really love it with the black! Good luck!

I too would choose the black. The fabrics have a lot of light backgrounds already and you wouldn't want them to get lost in the background. This sounds like a fun link-up, I'll consider participating too, if I don't forget to!

That's a lot of quilts to make! I'm chiming in with the ladies above - I think the black will make the prints pop more.

I like the flax! Good luck with your lists, sounds like you will be busy in the next 100 days :)

I vote flax - it just seems to match the tone of your prints.

ooo heading over to sign up. I need this push! I am going to vote for the black. I think it will give your more contrast than the flax. I really think it's apples to oranges, though. Either is going to be beautiful!

I would go with the flax, I think it would offset the colors nicely. Your list looks pretty good!

SO hard to choose between those two colors, but I'm leaning toward the...hmm...alright, now I'm not sure again...

I'm going to say black, but honestly I like the flax just as much!

Looking at the comments, it seems we're not really helping you narrow it down at all. :) Personally, I like the black. A lot of the fabrics read sort of light to me anyway, so I'd go with the contrast. And this is being totally gender stereotype-y, but for some reason the black feels a little more masculine to me than the flax (though the flax is obviously not girly or anything!)

It's so nice you're making a quilt for your brother! My brother is on my list someday, but not the 2012 list. :P

Good luck on your list! Since the quilt's for a guy, I'd go for the black.

Thank you for joining in!! I like both so I'm not going to vote - helpful right?! Can't wait to see your projects - the polaroid quilt sounds interesting :)
