[CLOSED] Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day - December 2013

Welcome! I am happy that you are here to join me on Sew, Mama, Sew's Giveaway Day. If you are new here, my name is Taryn and I like to sew quilts. If you like (not required!), you can follow my sewing progress via the following links: Bloglovin'  |  Feedly  |  RSS  |   Instagram  |  Flickr  | Pinterest. The picture below is a collage of some of my most recent work.

Sew Mama Sew's Giveaway Day is one my favorite times of year. My first Giveaway Day was two years ago and it really encouraged me to join the blogging community.  I love to meet new friends and the chance to win free stuff isn't so bad either!

Here is my offering: One person will win a copy of Layer Cake, Jelly Roll and Charm Quilts by Pam & Nicky Lintott & Two Trade Winds Charm Packs.

GIVEAWAY CLOSED

The winner is #225 Karrie S. She has been emailed and the package will be shipping tomorrow. Congratulations Karrie and thanks to all who took the time to enter!

Leave one comment telling me about your sewing or crafting plans for this month. If you don't have any projects going on, what do you like to sew or want to learn how to sew?

My answer: My main projects right now are two baby quilts. One of which I am 8 months late on :D. The thing I am most excited about is preparing blog posts about two finishes that will be gifted after Christmas. Finishing a project can be so exhilarating and it is so hard to keep quiet!

Fine print: This giveaway will close December 13, 2013 at 5pm PST. The winner will be chosen using random.org. I am willing to ship internationally. I will be contacting the winner by email. If you're a "no reply" or anonymous commenter, please be sure to include your email address in your comment so that I am able to contact you if you win. Entries without an email address will be disqualified. The winner must respond within five days of the end of the contest. If the winner does not respond within that period, another winner will be chosen.

Thank you so much for entering! It gets a bit crazy on Giveaway Day and I can't always respond to every comment like I do on regular posts, but I will be reading all of the entries. I really appreciate your visit. Good luck and thanks for stopping by! I hope to see you again!

You can see the all the giveaways at Sew, Mama, Sew's Blog (starting December 9 @ 6AM PST).

I've been working on guy gifts this week. I've been trying out a sort of "guy" survival kit for them to put in their cars. Basically it's a 2 sided pouch that closes like a little soft briefcase (not like a purse! hehehe or so I'm telling them) and I've stocked it full of Kleenex, pens, gum, mints, bandaids, etc - stuff they might need in their car but won't carry in a purse because they're men hahaha) It's fun to work with some darker "man" prints to make them though.

I have a Christmas quilt that I'd like to finish before Christmas - otherwise I've tried to keep things fairly low key this year! Thanks for the chance to win.

December is not my best month for sewing, so that's why I've been making Christmas projects all year long. I do hope to make a few small presents, like mug rugs this month, as time permits. Sewing on the dining room table presents its challenges! lol

I am working on mug rugs. I would like to learn applique. Thanks for the giveaway.

I'm trying to knock out some friends gifts, some pj pants for my boys, AND work on "The Quiet Book" (which should really be named "The Takes FOREVER to FINISH book"

I am busy sewing Christmas presents and Christmas shirts for the kidlets of late. I am still yet to make a Lego Paper Pieced bunting for a nephew, a John Deere shirt and PJ's for my son and some sleep shorts for both my brother and hubby. Oh and if I get time (which I am really doubting) but I would love to make a tree skirt. But what I am really hankering to sew is a new quilt - I finished one back in September for my sister's 21st - but have been a bit miffed of which quilt to make next.

All my Christmas sewing is done so the rest of the month will be spent on finishing WIPs of which I have many. I have the whole week between Christmas and New Year's off and I'm going to spend all of it in my sewing room. thriftstorecrafter@yahoo.com

Thanks for the chance to win. This month I need to finish off some Christmas gifts, as well as my entry for Le Challenge. Oh, and a baby quilt. Oh jeez, I'd better get cracking. ;)

My "sewing" project will continue to be to move and remove stuff from the "empty" bedroom, so I can have a sewing room. Thank you for a chance to win some goodies!

Oh I have a ridiculous amount of projects on the go. Once I was a monogamous quilter, but no more. I have a quilt, placemats, bookmarks and cushions for starters. Crazy. ;)

Thanks for a fab giveaway!
